6th July, 2021 - Italy vs Spain Betting Tips - The first semi-finals of Euro 2020 sees two of Europe's big guns clash, with Italy and Spain meeting at Wembley to fight it out for a place in Sunday's final.

This match is a repeat of the 2012 final, when Spain thrashed the Italians 4-0. But I won't be expecting a repeat of that match here.

90 Minutes Betting - The odds for 90 minutes are extremely tight. The Italians are 6/4 (2.50) favourites, with Spain at 21/10 (3.10). The draw can be backed at 11/5 (3.20).

To Qualify Betting - Again, the odds are fairly tight. Italy are 4/5 (1.80) to qualify for the final by any method. Spain are Even money (2.00).

The Italian know how could be the key in this market. They look the more experienced, and also just look like they are better equipped to get the job done.

Italy Vs Spain Betting Tips 6th July 2021

The only blot on the Italian copybook so far in Euro 2020 is needing extra-time to see off Austria in the Round of 16. If you count the 2-1 extra-time victory over Austria as a win (opposed to a draw), then Italy have won all 5 of their Euro 2020 matches.

The matches against Austria and Belgium were tough as well. So after coming through their group without really anyone laying a glove on them, the Italians have now been thoroughly tested. In short, they are well battle hardened.

Contrast that to Spain, and there is a bit of a difference. The Spaniards made hard work of their group, and had to effectively beat Croatia twice in the Round of 16.

They did have to battle to beat Switzerland in the last 8 as well, requiring extra-time and penalties.

The only issue I have is are Spain a side that are gradually getting better as the tournament is going on, and are about to peak? Or are they a side that have made hard work getting this far, simply because they are not quite good enough?

I feel the answer is the latter of the two, and that is why I think I have to go for Italy to win this match. I'm going to go for the Italians in 'To Qualify' betting at 4/5, as it covers all bases. I wouldn't be against backing Italy to win in 90 minutes though.
