It's not just in England where fans and press are up in arms at the performances of their national team, across the channel in France they are incandescent with rage at the teams failure to top Group D.
France could only manage a 1-1 draw with Poland in their final group match. As a result, Didier Deschamps’ team finished second in the table on five points, one behind table topping Austria.
Failing to win the group puts the French in the tougher half of the draw. They now are grouped in with Spain, Portugal and hosts Germany, rather than on the same side as England, Italy and Switzerland.
As a result, France are no longer favourites to win the competition. Les Bleus are now 11/2 with William Hill.
England lead the way at 7/2, with Spain second at 4/1. Hosts Germany are also 11/2.
