So What Is A Yankee Bet?

In football betting, a Yankee Bet is a bet that consists of four selections. This could be four teams to win, four draws, or even two teams to win and two draws. Your four football teams/selections, Yankee Bet, is made up of eleven different bets.

The eleven bets are made up of six doubles, four trebles, and one fourfold (not to be mixed up with a Lucky 15, which is fifteen bets).

An Example of a Yankee would be as follows. You think Manchester United, Stoke City, Bayern Munich and Benfica will all win at the weekend. You want to do a £1.00 (a bet) Yankee, so be aware that as a Yankee is eleven bets, the bet will cost you £11.00 (11 bets X £1.00 a bet), not £1.00.

The bet breaks down is like this, it is 11 bets in total.

1 – Double – Manchester United and Stoke City to both win
2 – Double – Manchester United and Bayern Munich to both win
3 – Double – Manchester United and Benfica to both win
4 – Double – Stoke City and Bayern Munich to both win
5 – Double – Stoke City and Benfica to both win
6 – Double – Bayern Munich and Benfica to both win
7 – Treble – Manchester United, Stoke City and Bayern Munich to all win
8 – Treble – Manchester United, Stoke City and Benfica to all win
9 – Treble – Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Benfica to all win
10 – Treble – Stoke City, Bayern Munich and Benfica to all win

As you can see, the more teams that win, the more bets within the Yankee will win. If only Manchester United and Stoke City win, then only one leg (Bet 1) will win and the other ten bets will lose.

If Manchester United, Stoke City and Bayern Munich all win, then four of your bets win (Bet 1, Bet 2, Bet 4 and Bet 7), and the other seven bets will lose.
