The Netherlands finally turned up to Euro 2024 on Tuesday, with Ronald Koeman's team progressing to the quarter-final with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Romania.
The Dutch completely dominated the match with goals from Cody Gakpo and Donyell Malen (2) securing the victory.
Across the 90 minutes, Ronald Koeman's team had 66% possession to Romania's 34.
But it was the shots at goal stats that really stood out. The Netherlands had 23 attempts on goal. Romania had five. Six of the Dutch efforts hit the target. Only one of Romania's did.
The opening goal from Cody Gakpo was his third of the competition. The Liverpool striker now leads the Golden Boot betting at 9/2. His closest rivals are Jamal Musiala at 6/1 and Harry Kane at 13/2. Musiala also has three goals, Kane has two.
The Dutch are now 7/1 to win the competition. That makes them the fifth favourites. Next up for Ronald Koeman's team is a meeting with Turkey on Saturday at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday.
