Important intervention by Hoeness

The shift in the betting towards Kane moving to Germany comes after another reported bid from the Bundesliga champions, this time rumoured to be around £70 Million.

Furthermore, the BBC reports that Daniel Levy met Bayern Munich officials on Thursday over a possible sale, and Hoeness says there have also been talks with Kane's advisers.

Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano has backed up these rumours with a series of tweets quoting Hoeness, with the Bayern legend saying, "Harry Kane now wants to play in European competitions. Tottenham won't be there next season, we will be there".

With Kane only having 12 months remaining on his contract and Levy not wanting to let it run down or see Kane join another Premier League club, this feels like the ideal transfer.

The smart money would have to be on Kane leaving. The England man made it clear two years ago that he wished to join Manchester City. Daniel Levy blocked the move, and Kane was reportedly unhappy with the Spurs chairman.

The chances are Kane won't sign another contract at Spurs. And anybody who has followed the club in recent years will know Levy will want a fee if Kane leaves.
