Tottenham Hotspur Women and Arsenal Women meet in a Matchday 9 London Derby at Brisbane Road on Sunday. Both teams are aiming to rebound from disappointing results.
Spurs were undone late in a 4–2 loss to the London City Lionesses last weekend, while Arsenal suffered heartache in Germany when they threw away a two goal lead in the Champions League, eventually losing 3-2 to Bayern Munich Women.

Under the guidance of head coach Martin Ho, Spurs have won five of their opening eight matches, and are already three quarters of the way to the 20-point haul they achieved last season.
Tottenham have lost two of their last three. They slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to unbeaten Chelsea on Matchday 6, but quickly bounced back by defeating Liverpool 2-1 on Matchday 7.
Last weekend they looked to have done enough to secure a point away at London City. Martin Ho’s team fought back to draw level twice. However, two goals in the final ten minutes condemned Spurs to their third defeat of the season.
Arsenal Women have had an inconsistent start to their 2025/26 campaign. The Gunners have won four, drawn three and lost one. They also have European football to cope with as they seek to defend their Women’s Champions League title.
The Gunners fought back to earn a point against Chelsea Women at the Emirates last weekend.
Alessia Russo equalised three minutes from time. Arsenal then thought they had won the match, however Frida Maanum’s 90th minute goal was controversially flagged offside, with replays showing the decision was incredibly close.
Arsenal then suffered another setback in midweek when they saw a 2-0 lead disappear in the Champions League in Munich.
Emily Fox and Mariona Caldentey put Arsenal in control. However, Bayern Munich fought back and sealed a 3-2 win with Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir scoring Munich’s winner four minutes from time.
