- Fixture: Brentford vs Manchester City
- Date & Time: Sunday 5th October 2025, 16:30 (BST)
- Venue: Gtech Community Stadium, London, England
Brentford host Manchester City at the Gtech Community Stadium in Sunday’s 4.30pm Sky Sports kick-off.
The Bees are unbeaten at home this season, with two wins and a draw. Despite that solid home form, they sit in the bottom half of the table with seven points from six matches. Keith Andrews’ side have claimed impressive victories over Aston Villa and Manchester United, while their draw came against Chelsea on Matchday 4.
Manchester City, meanwhile, have picked up ten points from their six league games. Already six points behind leaders Arsenal, the Cityzens can ill afford to drop points in west London as they look to keep pace with both the Gunners and Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten in six matches across all competitions, though they were twice pegged back in a 2-2 draw away to Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday.
City striker Erling Haaland remains in blistering form, with eight goals in six Premier League appearances and three more in Europe - including both against Monaco in midweek.
Containing the Norwegian will be Brentford’s toughest challenge.

Betting Tips
1. Manchester City to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
City will likely dominate possession and create more chances. Brentford have shown they can score at home, but their defence has been shaky. A comfortable City win with multiple goals seems probable.
2. Haaland Anytime Goalscorer
Erling Haaland has been in excellent form, and even against more stubborn defences he tends to get into good scoring positions. Backing him to score at any time offers solid value.
3. Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – Yes
While City tend to dominate, Brentford’s attacking threat at Gtech Stadium means they should get at least one goal. Pair that with City’s tendency to concede occasionally, and BTTS looks a strong bet.
Match Prediction
Manchester City are the clear favourites here. Brentford have had flashes of strong performances – especially at home – but their defensive inconsistencies and the class in City’s squad make it hard to see them holding on for anything more than a goal or two. My prediction is City to win 3-1.
