- Fixture: England Women vs Spain Women
- Date & Time: Sunday 27th July 2025, 17:00 (BST)
- Venue: St. Jakob-Park, Basel, Switzerland
The current European champions will take on the current world champions when England Women clash with Spain Women in the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 Final on Sunday.
England Women will be hoping to avenge their defeat to Spain in the 2023 World Cup final. Sarina Wiegman's team have been at their best in this competition, but they have somehow managed to find a way to get past Sweden in the quarter-finals, and Italy in the semi-finals.
England were outplayed by the Spanish in the 2023 World Cup final. However, the Lionesses have a recent 1-0 win over Spain to call upon for inspiration.
The English team will also have learned a great deal from observing how Germany gave Spain a host of problems in Wednesday night's tightly contested semi-final.
Spain Women are the betting favourites to win the Women's European Championship to their impressive trophy haul of recent years.
La Roja are widely regarded as the best team in the world. Including Wednesday's 1-0 extra-time win over Germany, they come into the final on a ten-match winning streak. Ironically, the last team to beat them was England, with the Lionesses winning 1-0 in the Nations League back in February.
However, like England can call upon their 1-0 win over Spain for inspiration, the Spanish can do the same. They beat England 2-1 in the reverse fixture at the beginning of June.
Spain have been imperious at Euro 2025, with their only stumble coming in a hard-fought 1-0 semi-final win over Germany. If they can shake off that performance, they'll be difficult to stop in their bid for a first-ever European title.
Match Odds
Spain Women are 4/11 to lift the trophy for the first time, England are 2/1 to retain the trophy they won with a memorable 2-1 victory over Germany three years ago.

Betting Tips
- Both Teams to Score – Yes (1.80)
England have scored in regulation time in all five of their matches, Spain have done the same in four of their matches - only in their 1-0 semi-final win over Germany did they not score in 90 minutes. BTTS looks a strong pick. - Over/Under 2.5 Goals – Over (1.85)
Finals can be cagey, but both England and Spain tend to play on the front foot. Either side could sneak this 2-1. - To Score or Assist – Claudio Pina (1/1)
Claudio Pina has had an outstanding tournament, contributing two goals and two assists in her four starts. She is 23/10 to score anytime, but with her assists' record, we are covering both options. - Correct Score – England 1–2 Spain (9.00)
Spain have edged tight contests and seem to have that extra spark in the final third. Spain won the 2023 World Cup Final 1-0, but we can see England scoring this time around, but the Spanish are still likely to edge it.
Match Prediction
Prediction: England 1 – 2 Spain
Expect a tense and high-quality final, but Spain’s ability to control midfield and convert chances might just give them the edge. England will push hard, but La Roja’s momentum and recent pedigree could prove decisive once again.
