Monday night football for Matchday 2 from the Premier League sees Newcastle United taking on Liverpool at St. James' Paek in front of the Sky Sports' cameras.
The fixture is dominated by the Alexander Isak transfer stand off.
Eddie Howe's Newcastle are rightly digginng in and trying to hold on to their prize asset. The Toon Army will also know that selling Isak to a rival isn't ideal and if he has to leave, Newcastle would prefer he heads overseas.
Newcastle started their season with a 0-0 draw away at Aston Villa. The Magpies had the better of the match, but guess what, they lacked a cutting edge in the final third of the field in the absence of Isak.
Liverpool opened the 2025/26 Premier League season with a 4-2 win over Bournemouth. The Reds didn't look at their fluent best with new signing Florian Wirtz having a quiet full debut.
The same couldn't be said about Hugo Ekitike, who marked his debut with a goal and an assist in the 4-2 win.
Reds' boss Arne Slot will have to be concerned with the way his team threw away a two goal lead when they were in control of the match.
However, in true champion style, Liverpool found that extra gear late on in the match to seal a convincing two goal win.

Despite being away from home, Premier League champions Liverpool start the match as the bookmakers favourites. The Reds were even money, but have slightly drifted over the weekend.
Newcastle United are at the 2/1, this could be good value at home. However, they did look to lack a goal threat at Villa Park last weekend.
