Manchester City's winning goal over Borussia Dortmund in Wednesday night's Champions League fixture has been described as Kung-Fu football by the man who scored it, Erling Haaland.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Haaland posted a picture of himself stretching to score the spectacular winner, with the captain 'Kung-Fu-Football' directly above it. Such was the outrageous nature of the goal, even the UEFA Champions League official account replied with a stunned face emoji.
The goal really was ridiculous. Everything from the outside of the boot cross from João Cancelo, to the outrageous finish from Haaland.
It also summed up the flying start the Norwegian striker has made to his Manchester City career. Even in the wildest dreams of the player and Pep Guardiola, they couldn’t have envisioned such an extraordinary start to Haaland’s City career.
Next up for City is an away trip to Molineux to face Wolves in the Premier League. The match kicks off at 12.30pm, and is City’s last match before the international break.
