Advantage City as Liverpool Blink First

Finally, someone has blinked first in this exciting and intriguing Premier League title race, and the team is Liverpool

Yes, Jurgen Klopp’s team were held to a 1-1 draw against Spurs at Anfield on Saturday.

Son Heung-min gave Spurs the lead after 56 minutes. But Antonio Conte's team couldn't hold on, and Luis Diaz scored the equaliser after 74 minutes.

Liverpool 1-1 Spurs; Match Highlights

The draw hasn't really helped either team in their respective quests in all honesty. Liverpool needed 3 points to keep the pressure on City in the title race.

While Spurs needed all 3 points to give themselves the chance to overhaul Arsenal and take the fourth Champions League spot.

Liverpool will now be hoping Newcastle can do them a favour when they face Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.

While Spurs will be hoping for a miracle from Leeds at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the same day.

Should Arsenal beat Leeds, the Gunners will now go 4 points clear of Spurs. It will also mean Spurs can't overtake Arsenal if they beat them in the North London Derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday.
