Watford’s Silva still next manager to leave position favourite

The interest from Everton in Marco Silva doesn’t seem to be cooling off, and the Portuguese has done little (ok, absolutely nothing), do distance himself from the Toffees job, and this sees him remain the favourite in the next manager to leave his position betting.

Silva is currently a best price of 13/8 with Betvictor to go next. After that, it’s Paul Clement of Swansea, who has endured a tough time lately. After an initial new manager bounce last season, the Swans are now back to looking as poor as they did when Clement took over.

After those two comes Mauricio Pellegrino of Southampton who hasn’t really got going on the south coast at all this season. The Argentine is 5/1 third favourite.

Watford face Newcastle at home this weekend, but the reasons for Silva’s favouritism are of a positive one, so whoever their opponents this weekend, it won’t really have an influence on the betting.

Swansea have a winnable looking match at home to Bournemouth, so the pressure will really be on Paul Clement. While Southampton are at home to Everton in a real dog fight of a fixture for both managers.

Alan Pardew Sack Odds

After another disappointing result for Newcastle away at Stoke tonight (they lost 1-0), and on the back of Mike Ashley’s comments over the weekend, it’s no surprise to see Alan Pardew is a heavy odds on favourite to be the next manager to leave his position.

Paddy Power (who are offering a £50.00 free bet for new customers) make Pardew 1/4 to be the next manager out in their Sack Race market, West Brom’s Alan Irvine is second favourite at 15/2.

Betfair‘s betting exchange also sees Alan Pardew trading at 1.25 to win the sack race.
