It’s not just a Super Sunday in the English Premier League today, as there are also some huge matches taking place across the continent of Europe, with the pick of the big matches coming from Germany, with Bayern Munich hosting Borussia Dortmund, and from Spain, where the Madrid Derby takes place this evening.
Starting off in England with the Premier League, and bet365 are running their brilliant £50.00 in-play free bet for all customers (new and existing) on the big match between Arsenal and Manchester United, kicking off at 4pm.
If you haven’t already got a bet365 account, you can open one here and claim their market leading £200.00 Welcome Bonus. Even if you are only opening a new bet365 account now, you will still be eligible to get both the £200.00 Welcome Bonus, and the £50.00 in-play free bet on Arsenal V Man Utd.
To get the in-play free bet, simply place a bet on any market on the Arsenal V Manchester United match pre kick-off. Once you have done that, bet365 will give you your money back on the first bet you place in-play on the match if it loses, up to a maximum of £50.00.
So to sum the offer up, you have £50.00 on Arsenal to win pre kick off (they are currently even money with bet365). Then about 10 minutes into the match you see it is an open and attacking game, and you think there is likely to be a few goals. You then have £50.00 on Over 2.5 Goals (your first in-play bet). If the bet wins, great, you have won. If the bet loses, you get your £50.00 back – in cash – under the terms of the £50.00 in-play free bet offer.
Now that’s out of the way, let’s have a look at the actual football, starting with the first game, the Merseyside Derby.
Everton v Liverpool
Kicking-off at 1.30pm, the early Super Sunday match sees Everton and Liverpool clash in the first Merseyside Derby of the season. This will be the 225th time these sides have met since 1894. The last 2 results between these two rivals have been a draw, which is reflected in the current odds.
Liverpool are marginal favourites at 17/10. The Reds will be pleased to see Daniel Sturridge back after an injury ravaged 12 months, and his 2 goal haul last weekend against Aston Villa will give the fans some confidence that Liverpool can finally get a winning run going in the league, and release some of the tension that currently surrounds manager Brendan Rodgers with speculation about his job.
Everton are 6 matches unbeaten in league and cup, so come into this fixture with some form. Having said that, they put in what can be best described as a strange performance while winning 3-2 away at West Brom last Monday night. At 2-0 down, Everton looked clueless, yet they still managed to win the match.
Everton can’t afford another slow start like that today. They are 9/5 to win today, with the draw coming in at 12/5.
Arsenal v Man Utd
The next game sees a huge clash between current title-contenders Arsenal and Man Utd. As well as the £50.00 in-play free bet, this promises to be an intriguing match as it will be a great indicator to see just where these two sides are with regard to challenging for the title.
There have been some memorable matches between these two teams over the years, most notably the phenomenal 8-2 United win back in 2011 at Old Trafford.
Arsenal go into the fixture as Even money favourites. The Gunners will be happy to see Alexis Sanchez return to goal scoring ways, with a brilliant hat-trick against Leicester last weekend.
Manchester United went top last weekend when they completed a 3-0 routine victory over Sunderland. They followed that up with a decent win over Wolfsburg in the Champions League midweek, so they go into this match with some decent form. Louis van Gaal’s men start the match as 14/5 outsiders, which is also the odds on the match finishing in a draw.
Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund
Moving into Europe, and bet365 will be streaming this fixture live (except in Germany, Austria, Italy, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, San Marino and USA), apart from that, all you will need is an active funded account to watch.
Bayern have dominated their league for a few years now, and it doesn’t look to be any different this season – with 7 wins from 7 games, scoring 23 goals in the process, and it’s no surprise they go into this fixture as 4/7 favourites.
Dortmund are at least putting up something of a fight this year, and currently sit in 2nd place (4 points behind). Last week former Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski scored just the 5 goals in 9 minutes against Wolfsburg, and the Pole followed that up with a hat-trick in midweek in the Champions League. He is on fire at the moment and looks a great bet to score again against Dortmund.
Dortmund have had back to back score-draws in recent weeks, so Both Teams to Score looks a decent bet at 8/15 (1.53), or Over 2.5 goals at 1/2 (1.50). A Dortmund win today is currently 19/4, with the draw at 16.5.
Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid
Also live on the bet365 website is this colossal fixture, similar to above, this match is not available in Spain, Middle East, North Africa, Andorra and USA, and you will need an active or funded account.
Just two points separate the Madrid sides, so this is another early season indicator of title-credentials for both. Along with Barcelona losing yesterday – and not looking the same without the injured Lionel Messi – this also represents a great chance for one of these sides to make ground on the Catalans and climb up the table.
Unlike the match in Germany, the Madrid Derby is generally a cagey affair with few goals. The match kicks off at 7.30pm, with Real Madrid starting as the 13/10 favourites. Atletico will be hoping to make home advantage count, and can be backed at 11/5, with the draw at 23/10.
bet365’s Euro Soccer Bonus is available on all of these fixtures on the ‘Full-Time Result’ and ‘Result + Both Teams to Score’ markets. With this offer, you can earn a huge 10% bonus on a winnings 4-fold accumulator bet.
