Next Tottenham Manager Odds

Tim Sherwood hasn’t even been sacked yet and already bookmakers have a market up for the next Tottenham manager, with Dutchman Louis Van Gaal installed as a heavy odds on favourite.

BetVictor are 4/7 on Van Gaal, and that is currently the market leader, with Stan James going as short as 1/3 already. Second favourite is Saints’ manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who is a best price of 6/1 with Stan James, but in keeping with differing opinions, he is 4/1 with most other layers.

In the world of the bookmakers, this appears to be a simple 2 horse race, as next in the betting is Jurgen Klinsmann and Michael Laudrup, both at best prices of 25/1.

Klinsmann is 25/1 with Bet365 (£200.00 Sign Up Bonus), who have Laudrup at 16/1. While you can get Laudrup at 25/1 with BetVictor.

Significant others are Glenn Hoddle 33/1, a return for Harry Redknapp is 66/1. One I like the look of is Rafa Benitez, who is a top price of 40/1 with Bet365 to leave Napoli and take over.

Benitez likes it in England, and knows how to set up and organise a team, something which Spurs seems to badly lack. Would he be prepared to leave Napoli after just one year though? That’s the major doubt. I’m not suggesting it will happen, I just have a feeling that Benitez would be a good fit for Spurs, and at 40/1 it is good value for a small bet.

As I already mentioned though, Tim Sherwood hasn’t been sacked yet. Betfair (Exchange) currently have him as second favourite at 11/5, behind ‘No Manager To Leave’ in their next manager to leave his post market.

The speculation suggests he will be sacked at the end of the season, and I don’t think Sherwood is going to quit on principle. In football though, nothing surprises us, but I don’t see it as great value at 11/5.
