Arsenal V Manchester City – Paddy Power Money Back Specials

The big game of the day today sees Arsenal trying to keep their faint title hopes alive against Manchester City in the Sky Sports Live match this evening (5.30pm).

As is usually the case when there is a big match, Paddy Power are offering their usual type of money back special. Today, if Santi Cazorla scores any time, Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match, in the form of a free bet

When there is a bit of controversy, Paddy Power also quite often take the chance to exploit it for a bit of extra cheap publicity, and today is no different as they are offering a second money back special on the match based on Kieran Gibbs’ mistaken identity red card against Chelsea….. if you place a bet on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to score first, and Kieran Gibbs scores first instead, Paddy Power will pay out.

So you basically have two chances of winning in the correct score market if you back ‘The Ox‘ for first goal.

On top of these two offers, anybody signing up for a Paddy Power account using this link will also qualify for a £50.00 free bet (as opposed to £20.00 in most other places), and Paddy Power will allow you to claim all three of these offers.

Onto the match itself, and Paddy Power have Manchester City at 23/20 favourites to win today. The Gunners are 5/2, and the draw is 12/5. It’s one of those games that both teams need to win, and I don’t see anything other than both sides just going for it today.

Arsenal need to win to keep any remote hopes of staying in the title race alive. While with Chelsea facing Crystal Palace today, City know they must win to keep the pressure up on Jose Mourinho’s side, a defeat or draw for City – assuming Chelsea are going to win – would see a 5 or 6 point gap open up again at the top of the table, quite a substantial lead for Chelsea at this stage of the season.

Betfair Sign Up Offer – Arsenal V Bayern Munich

Betfair are offering new customers an enhanced price on Both Teams To Score (BTTS) in the Arsenal V Bayern Munich, Champions League match tonight.

At the moment, both teams to score is 4/6, if you are a new customer taking advantage of the offer, you will get 3/1 on both teams to score.

This offer is only available on their Sportbook (not the exchange), and is limited to a maximum bet of £/€10.00 (boo) per customer. You won’t receive the enhanced price if you cash out during the match (and the bet later comes in), and it is only available to new customers from UK and Republic of Ireland.

Please be aware that if you do take advantage of this offer, you will not see the 3/1 on the Sportsbook, it will be paid out at 4/6 (the current price), or whatever price it is when you place your bet (assuming it changes from 4/6).

The enhanced price will be settled within 24 hours. So (for example) assuming the price stays at 4/6, you will get paid out £16.67 (£10 stake and £6.66 winnings @ 4/6) immediately and £23.33 (to reflect the 3/1 enhancement) within 24 hours.

Obviously any kind of offer from bookmakers or betting exchanges is good for us punters, but I do get annoyed that these sign up offers for new customers are limited to £10.00 bets. £50.00 is probably too much, I get that, but I don’t see why they couldn’t extend them to £25.00.

Anyway, moan over, and it does look like a bet with good potential. It’s not often Bayern don’t score, and Arsenal will obviously be looking to take advantage of it being their home leg tonight.

You can open a Betfair Account here. If anybody is unsure, or wants any information about how the bet works, feel free to leave a comment below, or drop me a mail at

500/1 for an Arsenal Treble

For the last few weeks all the talk has been of the Manchester City quadruple, followed briefly by the Chelsea treble, well what about the Arsenal treble?

The odds on an Arsenal treble are a whopping 500/1 with BetVictor, and to be honest, rightly so. They have Bayern Munich in the next round of the Champions League, so most punters are fairly certain that the whole crazy idea will end there.

The Gunners are a best price of 62/17 with Unibet to qualify from the tie, with Bayern Munich a best price of 1/4 with Boylesports to make it through to the next round.

Bayern are the most solid looking team in Europe at the moment. They have a, won 19, drawn 2, lost 0, record in the Bundesliga, giving them a 16 point lead at the top. And true to form at the weekend, they won again, this time 4-0 at home to SC Freiburg, in a fairly easy workout.

Arsenal can only dream of such comfortable home luxuries, as they have struggled in their last two league games. This probably goes a long way to explaining why Arsenal are 40/1 to win the Champions League, while Bayern Munich are a best price of 13/5, both with Ladbrokes (Free £50 Bet).

A domestic double of Premier League and FA Cup is 33/1 with BetVictor, I must admit to being a bit surprised to see odds that long.

After all, Arsenal are only point off the top of the Premier League and into the 6th round of the FA Cup, where they will host Everton at the Emirates.

Maybe the most damning indictment from the bookmakers and punters alike for Arsenal, is the fact that they are a best price of 1/3 with Paddy Power to win absolutely nothing this season.

Since Arsenal hit the top of the Premier League earlier in the season, bookmakers and punters have been seemingly waiting for it all to go wrong, and for Arsenal to start their spectacular fall from grace.

Well it appears that nothing has changed.
