26th June, 2021 - Wales vs Denmark Betting Tips - The Round of 16 gets under way on Saturday, and first up is an intriguing match between Rob Page's Wales, and Kasper Hjulmand's Denmark.

The Welsh qualified with a game to spare from the group stages, and will go into this match firmly believing they have a chance to make it to the quarter-finals.

They've just come through a tough looking group with Italy, Switzerland and Turkey for company.

If you go on the FIFA World Rankings, the Welsh over achieved in their Group. Rob Page's team are ranked 17, with Italy at 7, the Swiss at 13, and Turkey at 29.

They will need to beat the rankings again in the Round of 16, as the Danes are up at No 10.

The Danes only got through to the Round of 16 on Match Day 3 courtesy of a 4-1 win over Russia. But that doesn't tell the whole story.

The Danes have already been on an emotional roller coaster in this competition. The 1-0 loss to Finland on Match Day 1 was an irrelevant result after what happened to Christian Eriksen.

They then really took the match to Belgium on Match Day 2. And after going into a 1st minute lead, they had the chances to really press home their advantage.

In what was an impressive display from the Danes, they were ultimately undone by the class of Kevin de Bruyne. Belgium's 2-1 win was in the main, down to the Man City player.

Finally, on Match Day 3, the Danes got the result their performances had deserved. They crushed Russia at the Parken Stadium in front of a 23,000 crowd, that must have felt more like 100,000.

Wales Vs Denmark Betting Tips & Match Prediction 26th June 2021

The Danes go into this match as the bookmakers favourites. They are odds on at 20/23 to win in 90 minutes betting. The draw is 9/4, while Wales look decent value at 4/1. Prices available from Betfair.

In to qualify for the quarter-finals betting (win by any method), Denmark are again the favourites, this time they are just 4/11 to go through. Wales are 21/10 to take their place in the last 8.

This match is hard to call. I think it will be a tight affair, and maybe even a draw across 90 minutes. In these circumstances, I think the call has to be to back under 2.5 goals at 8/15 with Betfair.
