It's time for Football Gamblers Premier League match predictions, and this week we are up to Matchweek 35.
This weekend sees Liverpool visiting St James' Park to face Newcastle and Man City go to Elland Road to face Leeds United. Who will blink first? Or will both sides keep on winning, with City ultimately winning the title?
Newcastle vs Liverpool Match Prediction - 12.30pm Saturday
This has the potential to be one of the matches of the weekend. Newcastle are back in good form, and Liverpool have been playing football on another level in recent weeks.

Given Newcastle have no pressure at all on them anymore, I expect them to give the Reds a game.
As for Liverpool, they won at a canter in the Champions League on Wednesday. Might they rotate ahead of the second leg? I doubt it, they hardly need to. This is the harder looking match afterall.
Given Liverpool's league situation, I have to go for them to win.
- Verdict - LIVERPOOL WIN
Aston Villa vs Norwich Match Prediction - 3pm Saturday
Villa stopped the rot with a 0-0 draw with Leicester last weekend.
The fact that Leicester may have had one eye on Europe probably helped Villa's players not lose their flip flops, and this week they will no doubt be helped by the fact that Norwich finally looked like they had accepted their fate against Newcastle last weekend.
Villa aren't going to get a better chance to get a win than this match.
- Verdict - ASTON VILLA WIN
Southampton vs Crystal Palace Match Prediction - 3pm Saturday
Two sides who are out of form at the moment, but both did get draws last weekend.
Overall both these teams have kept themselves clear of the relegation battle this season, and especially for Palace, that has to represent a good campaign.
Tough match to call, but I'm going for home advantage.
- Verdict - SOUTHAMPTON
Watford vs Burnley Match Prediction - 3pm Saturday
Watford's abysmal home form is what's getting them relegated. They've now lost a staggering ten matches in a row at Vicarage Road.
After four successive defeats, the game looks to be up for Watford. Even if they win on Saturday, I still think it’s too late.
From Burnley’s perspective, they’ve taken 10 points from the last 15 and this match is ideal to keep the run going.
My only reservation is that Watford will win at some point at home. I have to go for the Clarets though
- Verdict - BURNLEY WIN
Wolves vs Brighton Match Prediction - 3pm Saturday
Bruno Lage’s Wolves have lost three of their last four and a decent season is starting to fizzle out.
All in all, it’s been a decent season for the Molineux men. The transition from Numo to Lage has gone smoothly and with a strong finish, they could still possibly make the Europa Conference League.
The Seagulls have taken 7 points from their last 12, and that is some recovery after the poor run they were on prior to that. They will be disappointed with losing a two goal lead at home to Southampton last weekend though.
Another tough match to call, and I’m going for the draw.
- Verdict - DRAW
Leeds vs Man City Match Prediction - 5.30pm Saturday
Leeds have been vastly improved under Jesse Marsch, but they are still in a whole heap of trouble. Especially if Burnley win at Watford earlier in the day.
They’re five unbeaten and have picked up 11 much needed points on this run.
City will obviously have one eye on Real Madrid on Wednesday, but they can’t afford to let up in the Premier League either. I think Leeds may have a slim chance here, but I can’t back against City.
- Verdict - MAN CITY WIN
Everton vs Chelsea Match Prediction - 2pm Sunday
Everton made life very difficult for Liverpool last Sunday and showed they are up for the fight. They play a Chelsea side that are very up and down at the moment, and who also played on Thursday night.
Despite this, I thought Chelsea were very good against Man Utd at Old Trafford in their 1-1 draw. They should really have won comfortably. Was that because Chelsea were that good, or because United were that bad? You can decide that!
Everton’s decent home form is saying to me that they might get something from this game. But I’ve just got a feeling Chelsea will win this.
- Verdict - CHELSEA WIN
Spurs vs Leicester Match Prediction - 2pm Sunday
The wheels seem to have come off at Spurs at precisely the wrong time of the season. Just one point from matches against Brighton and Brentford isn’t what’s needed when you are fighting for a top 4 finish.
As for Leicester, they had a credible 1-1 draw at home to Roma in the Europa League Conference on Thursday. I feel Leicester will believe they can win in Rome next week and will rightly prioritise that fixture.
- Verdict - TOTTENHAM WIN
West Ham vs Arsenal Match Prediction - 4.30pm Sunday
Like Leicester, the Hammers will feel they can get something in Frankfurt next Thursday.
West Ham were every bit the equal of Eintracht on Thursday, and will obviously be more focussed on that match than they will be on Arsenal.
The Gunners have now beaten Chelsea and Manchester United back-to-back, and are all of a sudden back in pole position to get fourth place. I can only see Arsenal winning this.
- Verdict - ARSENAL WIN
Man Utd vs Brentford Match Prediction - 8pm Monday
Well, where do you start with Manchester United? It’s all been said hundreds of times this season already, so I won’t bang on about it anymore.
The one thing I did think was obvious at Old Trafford in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Thursday is that for the players, manager, and fans alike, this season just can’t end soon enough.
For Thomas Frank and Brentford, they’ve had an unbelievable season. They had a wobble earlier in the year and looked like they might get sucked into the relegation zone.
But a run of five wins and one draw in their last seven matches means they can play the season out with no pressure on them whatsoever.
Nevertheless, I think United are going to win their final home match of the season.
- Verdict - MAN UTD WIN
