It was far from a classic match, and Forest have reacted to their lack of cutting edge up front by signing Liam Delap from Chelsea.
By a twist of fate, Forest were drawn to play Leeds in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
The result was worse, the Tricky Trees lost 2-0 this time, with an even more lethargic performance.
The final whistle was accompanied by boos from the home fans.
