2022 Champions League Betting Tips: First and Anytime Goalscorer - With such an array of attacking talent on show at the Stade de France this Saturday, the goalscorer markets make for interesting reading.
- Match; 2021/22 Champions League Final
- Teams; Liverpool vs Real Madrid
- Venue; Stade de France
- Where; Saint-Denis, Paris, France
- When; Saturday 28th May, 2022
- Time; 8pm GMT | 9pm CET
Liverpool are the favourites to lift the trophy, so naturally one would expect their players to dominate the goalscorers markets.
And while it's true that Reds' players dominate the market, there is one infiltrator from Los Blancos sitting right amongst them!
First Goalscorer Betting
The favourite to be first goalscorer is Liverpool's Mohamed Salah at 4/1. But after that, it is Real Madrid's Karim Benzema at 9/2.
Benzema sits just ahead of Liverpool duo Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane, both on 5/1.
- Mohamed Salah 4/1
- Karim Benzema 9/2
- Diogo Jota 5/1
- Sadio Mane 5/1
- Takumi Minamino 11/2
- Mariano 13/2
- Roberto Firmino 13/2
- Luis Diaz 7/1
- Gareth Bale 15/2
- Vinicius Jr 8/1
- Eden Hazard 10/1
- Rodrygo 11/1

After that, it starts to get messy. For example, with Betfair, Takumi Minamino is next at 11/2. The same player is a more realistic 10/1 with bet365.
Betfair have both Real Madrid's Mariano and Liverpool's Roberto Firmino at 13/2. Over at bet365, they are both 7/1.
A few other interesting names in this market are Luis Diaz at 7/1, Gareth Bale at 15/2 (yes, you did read that correctly), and Vinícius Jr at 8/1.
Madrid's semi-final goal scoring hero Rodrygo is 11/1. Mainly as he will probably start from the bench.
The 11/1 on Rodrygo to be the last goalscorer could be an interesting bet, though.
Anytime Goalscorer Betting
This is a market that I personally prefer. Yes, it's shorter odds, but the anytime goalscorer betting market keeps you interested for the whole of the match.
Again Mohamed Salah is the favourite, the Egyptian is 13/10 to find the net at any point in the 90 minutes.
- Mohamed Salah 13/10
- Karim Benzema 7/5
- Diogo Jota 13/8
- Sadio Mane 17/10
- Takumi Minamino 15/8
- Mariano 21/10
- Roberto Firmino 11/5
- Luis Diaz 12/5
- Gareth Bale 5/2
- Vinicius Jr 11/4
- Eden Hazard 10/3
- Rodrygo 7/2
Next is Karim Benzema at 7/5, and he is followed by Diogo Jota at 13/8 and Sadio Mane at 17/10.
I'm personally not even sure if Jota starts this game. So I wouldn't be backing him.
Luis Diaz will surely get the nod ahead of the Portuguese. Unless that is, Klopp wants to keep a lethal weapon on the bench to be released at a later stage of proceedings.
The bet I like the look of in this market is Sadio Mane.
The Senegalese striker has been in exceptional form for Liverpool in recent weeks, and is a big game player.
As I pointed out in my 2022 Champions League Betting Tips write up, I think Sadio Mane to score anytime at 17/10 is a great value bet.
