The news out of Paris on Saturday confirming that Kylian Mbappe has signed a three-year contract to stay at PSG hasn't gone down well with some in Spain.
The French forward has turned down the advances of La Liga giants Real Madrid. Instead opting to stay in France with Paris St-Germain.
The decision was announced ahead of PSG's 5-0 win over Metz. A game in which Mbappe then went on to score a hat-trick in.
The 23-year-old was also pictured with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The two men were pictured on the pitch holding an Mbappe shirt, with 2025 emblazoned across the back, signalling the length of the deal.
It's fair to say that the deal hasn't gone down well in Spain. Both at Real Madrid and within La Liga.
La Liga president, Javier Tebas called the deal an insult to football on Twitter.
His main gripe being that a.club can lose 700 million euros across recent seasons, while maintaining a wage bill he claims to be 600 million euros.
He also went on to say that PSG president Al-Khelaifi "is as dangerous as the Super League".
The feeling in Spain seems to be that their teams aren't competing on a level playing field. Especially when it comes to teams like Manchester City and PSG..
