After a year of delay, the Euro 2020 tournament kicked off almost a month ago back on June 11th, but time certainly passes when you’re having fun as the event is almost already at its conclusion as we approach the semi finals and the end of the tournament – with the final four teams preparing to play and players placing wagers in betting options like this list, how are the teams shaping up for the final three games of the tournament?
Italy – Coming off their win against Belgium this past weekend, the Italians will certainly be favourite to take the whole thing home as one of the best teams in the tournament. They’ve had some very strong performances and some slow starts as well, so these last few games will be important for showing just how good they are. They have a tough semi’s game against Spain, who have managed to put away 11 goals in their past three games but will certainly be favoured to win still.
Spain – After going to penalties in their quarter-finals matchup against Switzerland, some fans will certainly have been hoping for a stronger showing, but with solid performances against Croatia in the round of 16 and Slovakia at the end of groups, they’ve definitely shown they’re on form too. It’ll be their toughest game of the tournament, and will be going in as underdogs, but does provide a great opportunity for a surprise performance.
England – Coming off the back of a 4-0 victory over Ukraine in the quarters, sprits will be very high for England going into the semis. After struggling to find opportunities to show up early in the tournament, Harry Kane has finally found the opportunity to get himself in a scoring position. Arguably having one of the strongest and most talented teams of the whole tournament, their semis game against Denmark will certainly be theirs to lose and are going in as the heavy favourites.
Denmark – After losing their best player in the opening game which also led to a loss, the Danish team have certainly surprised many by putting in a string of incredible performances and their 2-1 victory over Czech Republic in the quarters, spirits will be high here too. Coming in as the underdogs against England will be a running theme as most of their games throughout the tournament, but they’re definitely within a strong chance of pulling out a victory.
The last three games to be played before a new champion is crowned will be extremely exciting, and there are some great odds out there too if you’re looking to make a little extra particularly with the high likelihood of a couple of upsets coming in too.
