Brighton Vs Liverpool from the Amex is the opening fixture on Saturday (28/11/20), and here is my match preview and prediction.
Brighton Vs Liverpool Preview
Graham Potter’s Brighton side go into this fixture looking to secure back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since November 2019.
The two problems are, they’re playing Champions Liverpool, and they haven’t managed a home win at the Amex all season (2 draws and 2 defeats).
The Seagulls currently sit 16th, with just 2 league wins to their name. Away at Newcastle (3-0) on Matchweek 2, and away at Aston Villa (2-1), last weekend.
After a defeat in midweek, Liverpool will be looking to bounce back.
The problem with the Reds at the moment though, is their squad is already completely stretched. And as we seen on Wednesday in the Champions League, that is going to start catching up with Klopp’s team.
On the flip side though, Liverpool comprehensively outplayed Leicester City in the Premier League last weekend.
With the players overplayed due to both the injury crisis, and the congested calendar, I believe these ups and downs will become more frequent with Liverpool. Making tipping more difficult.

Brighton Vs Liverpool Betting
- Brighton 4/1 – The Draw 29/10 – Liverpool 8/11
- Over 2.5 Goals 4/6 – Under 2.5 Goals 13/10
- Over 3.5 Goals 13/8 – Under 3.5 Goals 8/15
- Both Teams To Score – Yes 8/13 – No 13/10
Liverpool are rightly the favourites in 90 minutes betting, and in normal circumstances, I would say 8/11 is great value.
After Wednesday’s lacklustre performance though…..
The goals markets are suggesting there may be a few today, and that’s where I’m looking for my predictions.
Brighton Vs Liverpool Prediction 28/11/20
I wouldn’t try and talk anybody out of backing Liverpool to win and there to be over 2.5 goals. On a Same Game Multi bet, that currently pays 2.12, and looks a reasonable bet.
Due to Liverpool’s defensive issues though, and a slight lack of trust after the 2-0 defeat to Atalanta, I’m being a bit more cautious.
I’m going with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in a Same Game Multi bet.
It pays slightly less at 1.80, but after last night’s odds against winning tip on Crystal Palace Vs Newcastle, I’m happy to drop slightly below evens on this match.
