Everton V Man Utd Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview

The lunch time kick off on Saturday (7/11/20) is Everton V Man Utd, and for my match prediction I'm expecting United to give under fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a much needed boost.

Everton V Man Utd Preview

Well, what a couple of weeks it has been for both of these teams.

Just two matches ago Everton were flying high at the top of the Premier League table.

Since then the Toffees have lost two on the bounce, away to Southampton (2-0 on Matchweek 6), and then a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle last Sunday, in what has to be their worst performance of the season.

If you add in the draw at home to Liverpool prior to the two defeats, Carlo Ancelotti's men are now 3 games without a win.

The Toffees are clearly missing Richarlison

The draw at home to Liverpool seems to have slightly derailed Everton's season.

The red card and subsequent suspension for Richarlison seems to have upset the whole balance of Everton's attack, and they haven't looked the same in the Brazilian's absence.

Also not helping the Toffee's cause is the injuries suffered by Rodriguez and Seamus Coleman.

It's not all doom and gloom though, a win for Everton and a couple of other results going in their favour, could still see them sitting top of the Premier League when it pauses for the latest international break at the end of this weekend.

Moving onto Man Utd, and well, where on earth do you start?

It was only three matches ago that they smashed then Bundesliga leaders, RB Leipzig, 5-0 at Old Trafford in the Champions League.

That result came on the back of a 0-0 draw with Chelsea, and a 2-1 win away at PSG, also in the Champions League.

Crisis! What crisis!!

It's now doom and gloom again at OT

Since the Leipzig match, Man Utd have lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal, in a match that had very questionable tactics, and then lost 2-1 away to Istanbul Basaksehir, in what was a shocking performance.

The latter of those results has led to speculation over manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's position at the club.

3 points away at Everton will take the heat off Solskjaer for now, but I feel it will only be a temporary reprieve.

Everton V Man Utd Odds

Everton 19/10 - The Draw 12/5 - Man Utd 7/5

The odds are suggesting a close contest, with the winner difficult to call.

And the biggest problem with predicting this one, is no one knows which version of the two sides will turn up!

Will the Everton that was beating all before them in the early weeks appear? Or will it be the lack lustre one that played at St James' Park last Sunday?

As for United, will it be the team that beat PSG and Leipzig so impressively, or the one that lost 6-1 at home to Spurs?

Personally, I'm expecting an improved performance from United. Some may say that's not difficult, and I couldn't argue with that.

But in the Premier League at least, United seem a different beast on the road. They seem better suited to hitting teams on the break, and if Everton come out all guns blazing, I believe it will be a long afternoon for the Toffees.

Everton V Man Utd Prediction 7/11/20

United's two Premier League wins this season have both come on the road, at Brighton, and Newcastle, respectively.

Neither were convincing wins in fairness. And despite the 4-1 score line at St James' Park, the match was 1-1 until very late on.

That said, I think United won't get beat tomorrow. I actually feel this match has a whiff of 1-2, or 0-2 about it. But on current form, I do have reservations about backing United to win outright.

Prediction - Man Utd to win and The Draw in Double Chance market, plus over 1.5 goals, in a Same Game Multi @ 1.73 with Betfair

To add a bit of security to the bet, I'm looking towards United and The Draw in the double chance market. That's just 4/11 though, so I can't be tipping that.

If we add over 1.5 goals into the equation, it takes the bet up to 1.73 in a Same Game Multi.

This gives us the United win, along with some security if the Reds only manage a scoring draw.

Not quite the odds I would normally be looking for, but none the less, this looks reasonable value.
