Wolves V Crystal Palace Preview

It was a pretty disastrous weekend for predictions in the Premier League last week, so hopefully we can get off to a nice winning start this week.

Only goal difference separates these two teams after six rounds of fixtures, with Palace sitting in 8th place, and Wolves in 9th.

Both sides have 10 points, and I think it's fair to say Palace will be the happier of the two sides with the respective starts they have both made.

More worrying for Wolves will be the lack of goals. So far this season they have managed just six goals in six matches. That's two less than opponents Crystal Palace, who apparently have a goal scoring problem.

Wolves V Crystal Palace Odds

Wolves 10/11 - The Draw 23/10 - Palace 18/5

Nuno's men at just a shade of odds on looks appealing.

The reason for Wolves being such a decent price at home has to down to patchy form, and goal shyness.

Wolves managed only a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle on Sunday, but did dominate the possession and the chances.

Prior to that they managed a decent 1-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road.

Wolves need more goals from the rest of the team

The lack of goals seems to be what is costing Wolves this season. They've only found the back of the net more than once in a match this season. This came away at Sheffield United on the opening weekend.

Striker Raul Jimenez has scored four of Wolves' six goals Premier League goals, so it's not hard to see where the teams problems lie.

Palace seem to be too dependant on one man

Palace's good start to the season has been mainly down to the form of Wilfried Zaha. The Ivorian striker has 5 goals so far (Palace have just 8), and 1 assist.

This means Zaha has been involved in 75% of Palace's goals, so it goes without saying that Roy Hodgson's team will struggle badly if he gets injured.

In their most recent fixture, Palace picked up 3 points against a poor Fulham side. In their previous fixture prior to that, they some how got a point at home to Brighton, despite been totally played off the park.

The Eagles had one shot, compared to Brighton's 20 that day. How they escaped that match with a 1-1 draw, only Brighton's strikers can explain.

Prior to that, Palace got walloped 4-0 at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea.

Wolves V Crystal Palace Prediction 30/10/20

Given the recent form of Crystal Palace, and the odds available on Wolves, I'm going to have to go for a Wolves win.

Tip - Wolves to win @ 10/11 with Betfair

Odds like that simply can't be ignored.

On paper it looks like it could be a tight match, but under 2.5 goals is also looks tight, at just 4/7.

Combining the two bets in a Same Game Multi bet does though come in at 3.45, which is a decent looking bet.
