Why it’s becoming more interesting to bet on the Premier League.

The Premier League season of 2020/21 is off to a very crazy, unexpected and inconsistent start.

Just 4-5 matches per team into the season, and the whole league table makes you feel like the world is upside down!

This makes football betting a bit more interesting than having a league where there’s like four great teams who always fight for the title, while the rest are mediocre or even sh*t compared to the league's giants.

It’s been like that for a while now, however things may be starting to change.

Crazy start to 2020/21 Premier League Season

We’re only around 5 matches per team into the 2020/21 season and the teams’ positions in the table are unbelievable!

You have giants like Man Utd in the bottom half, Man City in mid table, and Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all outside the Top 4. Only Liverpool of the main contenders are in the European places.

Aston Villa, Everton, and Leicester currently occupy the rest of the Top 4 positions. Yep, that’s right, Everton and Aston Villa are at the top of the league.

Remarkably, Aston Villa even have a game in hand. They are now the only team with a 100% record in the Premier League.

This means the underdogs are becoming stronger and stronger against the legends who are well-known for generally crushing the leagues.

Teams like Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester are now showing levels of potential to compete and even be able to beat the once reigning champions of England.

This gives people who bet on football using sports betting apps like Unibet betting offers  an advantage, as betting on the underdog has higher odds, meaning lower stakes. So betting on them winning will win you a larger amount of money than if you were to bet on the “usual winner”.

Besides the crazy league table, we’ve also been seeing some wacky, mind-boggling score lines.

Opening Weekend was the start of things to come

Starting with Matchweek 1, Liverpool played Leeds United, who had just been promoted to the Premier League from the EFL Championship.

No one would have guessed what they’d watch. The former Premier League champions Liverpool did beat Leeds, as everyone would have imagined, however the score was 4-3! You would expect a less balanced score line when matching up the premier league winners against the team who just got promoted to the league!

Even though they didn’t take home the win. Leeds will be happy to have scored 3 goals against Liverpool.

2020/21 Premier League Matchweek 2 had its shocks

Matchweek 2 was also a bit crazy, with Crystal Palace beating Man Utd 3-1! United seem to be having quite a turbulent start to this season, and we all know things soon got worse!

Matchweek 3 was pretty balanced compared to the other days, however Matchweek 4 was wild.

On a crazy weekend Leeds versus Man City finished 1-1. West Ham beat Leicester City three to nothing, before Tottenham surprisingly crushed Man United 6-1 at Old Trafford! Aston Villa's 7-2 humiliation of Liverpool topped off an unbelievable weekend.

All these crazy games make football betting a lot more fun than it used to be. But it also makes it more challenging to anticipate what’s coming.

That’s why you should always take care and not go overboard when betting on football. It can get very addictive, and it can cause as much harm, as it can be fun. It’s very important to always keep control and not give in to the temptation to always bet more.
