Gibraltar look good value

  • Liechtenstein V Gibraltar

  • Rheinpark Stadium
  • Live on Sky Sports
  • UEFA Match Centre

First up in our predictions, we look at Gibraltar - who are an ever improving side.

In the 2018 Nations League, Gibraltar won two of their six matches. Included in their victories were a 1-0 win away at Armenia, and a 2-1 home win over Liechtenstein.

Since then they lost ten out of ten in Euro 2020 qualification.

Match Odds - Liechtenstein 6/10 - Draw 5/2 - Gibraltar 5/1 @ Betfair

The beauty of the Nations League is that countries get paired off against similar levels of opposition. So we can almost dismiss Gibraltar's Euro qualifiers form.

So far in this Nations League, Gibraltar have beaten San Marino 1-0 at home, before losing 2-0 away to Malta.

Today they are away at Liechtenstein, and at 5/1 the Gibraltarians look excellent value.

Tip - Small bet on Gibraltar at 5/1 with Betfair

Spain to start scoring again with a home win

  • Spain V Switzerland
  • Kick Off - 7.45pm
  • Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano
  • Live on Sky Sports
  • UEFA Match Centre

The Spanish registered their first blank in 43 matches in their 0-0 draw with Portugal last Wednesday. It was a very inexperienced and experimental side put out by manager Luis Enrique for the friendly match.

I expect that to all change tonight, and Enrique will have all the big guns back for the Nations League fixture against Switzerland.

Match Odds - Spain 4/9 - Draw 7/2 - Switzerland 15/2 @ Betfair

In their two Nations League matches to date, Switzerland have lost 2-1 in Ukraine, and held Germany to a 1-1 draw at home.

In their last four matches both teams have scored, and this includes the aforementioned Gibraltar. So Both Teams To Score at 9/10 might be a reasonable shout.

I don't expect the Swiss to see much of the ball in this one though, which is why that's not my tip.

I see Spain winning, but 4/9 looks a touch too short - unless you are having an accumulator bet.

In the Match Odds and Over/Under 1.5 Goals market, Spain are slightly longer odds at 8/13, and this represents far better value for a single.

Germans to keep on conceding goals

  • Ukraine V Germany
  • Kick Off - 7.45pm
  • NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium
  • Live on Sky Sports
  • UEFA Match Centre

The Germans have drawn both of their Nations League matches to date, and were involved in a crazy 3-3 draw with Turkey back on Wednesday.

Like with a lot of sides last week, the Germans had an experimental side out for the friendly in Cologne. No doubt that will all change tonight.

Ukraine have won one and lost one so far in Group A4. A win tonight for them would see them open up a 4 point gap on the Germans.

Match Odds - Ukraine 19/2 - Draw 5/1 - Germany 3/10 @ Betfair

With all this in mind, the 3/10 on Germany to win is way too short.

Germany have scored and conceded in their last four matches. While Ukraine shipped a whopping eleven goals in their last two fixtures. So it's hard to see the Germans not scoring.

The Ukrainians have also found the net in ten of their last eleven matches, and with home advantage I expect that could happen again.

Both Teams To Score is an appealing looking 4/5, and I think that represents fairly decent value.

Tip - Both Teams To Score @ 4/5 with Betfair
