Leeds V Man City 03/10/20 – Football Betting Tips
There seems to be a bit of a love in with Leeds and their manager, Marcelo Bielsa, this season.
Hardly any pundit has them down as relegation candidates (apart from me, assuming you class me as a pundit), and their style of play has also led to plenty of praise.
So far this season the Lillywhites have won 2 and lost 1 - a decent start.
The win over Fulham was made harder than it should have been, due to individual errors.
The most impressive result for Leeds this season in my opinion was the 1-0 win away to Sheffield United last weekend.
This was a hard fought victory, which proved that Leeds have the stomach for the fight. For me this season is about survival for Leeds, and the win over Chris Wilder's Sheffield United is the sort of win that helps keep you up.
Moving onto Man City, and it's been an eventful start to the season for Pep's men.
Their excellent win over Wolves in their opening match was followed up by last Sunday's debacle against Leicester City.
In defence - no pun intended - of Pep's team, they have got a lot of injuries.
Injuries though, can't be used as an excuse for the ridiculous mistakes made by Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy, for two of Leicester's three penalties last week.
That was just simply poor play from two players capable of better.
Where injuries are impacting on City, is up front. For this match they have no Gabriel Jesus or Sergio Augero due to injury. They're clearly going to miss 2 players of that quality.
With this in mind, the question I would be asking here is, are Man City really good value at 1/3?
I'm not so sure they are. I can though, only predict a City win here, they still have the players to blow Leeds away.
I'm just not sure I'd be placing too much money on that happening.
Defending isn't the strongest part of either of these two sides, so there could be goals.
The problem is that City are missing their two main strikers.
So far this season, Leeds looked awful at the back against Fulham and Liverpool.
Okay, Liverpool can make any backline look awful, but not Fulham. And even against Liverpool, some of the goals Bielsa's team conceded were fairly poor.
What can I say about Man City's defending after last Sunday? Well, that it surely can only get better.
Over 2.5 goals is a short looking 1/3, while over 3.5 goals is 9/10.
