Brentford survived a late Swansea revival to reach the Championship Play-Off final, beating the Swans 3-2 on aggregate to secure their place at Wembley.
In truth the tie was pretty much done and dusted just one minute into the second half when Bryan Mbeumo made it 3-0 to the Bees, and 3-1 on aggregate.

This left the Swan's too much to do. And despite a late rally after a 78th minute goal from on loan Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, they never really gave the impression they were going to be able to force the match into extra-time.
Swansea head coach Steve Copper admitted as much in his after match interview. He said "We didn't give up and we went right until the very end but we gave ourselves too much to do."
In fairness to Swansea, it was a gallant effort just to be 90 minutes from Wembley. They overturned a 3 point deficit and a 5 goal inferior goal difference to Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season alone, just to get into the play-offs.
That said, the Swans entered the play-offs in good form. And they would have believed they had as good a chance as any of making it to Wembley. Statistically, it may be a myth, but we're always told to beware the team entering the Play-Offs late on.
Brentford are a Club on the Upward Curve
And what of Brentford? They now wait and see who prevails from the tie between Fulham and Cardiff. The 2nd leg is at 7.45pm on Thursday 30th July. Fulham are 2-0 up, and are football betting favourites to make it to Wembley and meet Brentford.
The 3-1 win also marked the last match ever at Brentford's Griffin Park. The club are moving to a new custom built 17,250 capacity stadium for next season.
The ground - only known as the Brentford Community Stadium for now - will also host Rugby Union team, London Irish. Whatever the outcome of the Play-Off final, the future certainly looks bright for the Bees.
The Play-Off final is at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 4th August, with kick-off at 7.45pm (BST).
