Premier League Betting Tips – Goals in the Merseyside Derby

Liverpool can take another step towards the title tonight when they take on Everton in the Merseyside Derby, and for our football betting tips we are expecting their may be some goals in this one.

The lockdown may have come at a good time for Liverpool. They had just run into a sticky patch of form, but in all fairness, it's fairly irrelevant. The Reds are that far ahead, they can draw and lose their way to the title.

And what of Everton? I keep reading that things have improved under Ancelotti, and while results couldn't have been any worse than they were during Marco Silva's final days at Goodison Park, I personally can't see much improvement. Certainly not in the wins column.

So what of tonight's fixture. Well, I can see goals in this one. At home Everton are always a threat, and Liverpool will no doubt have a goal in them.

I can see both teams scoring in this one. The match has a feel of 1-1, or 2-1 to either side, about it.

In the latest football betting, Liverpool are favourites at 4/7. The draw is 3/1, while an Everton win is 5/1. In goals betting, over 2.5 goals is 5/6, and both teams to score is 4/5.

Merseyside Derby Betting Tips

The Reds deserve the title, but maybe not at Goodison Park

Although they won't be at the game tonight, Everton fans must be delighted Liverpool can't get the job finished at Goodison Park.

The Reds have had an absolutely amazing season, and surely even the most blinkered Toffee fans couldn't begrudge Klopp's men the Premier League title.

With 27 points still to play for, Liverpool are just 18 points away from a century of points. They have dropped just 5 points from 29 games, and are a huge 22 points clear of closest rivals, Manchester City.

Alongside the City team that won the Premier League in the 2017/18 season, these are two of the best Premier League campaigns I've ever seen.

Liverpool need to keep things going. With the league all but in the bag, might complacency kick in? Possibly, but I'd have to say it will be an almighty shame if Liverpool don't make the 100 points mark this season.
