Premier League Tips – Spurs V Man Utd Preview and Betting

Spurs V Man Utd Betting Tips and Review - Tottenham and Manchester United get their Premier League season's back up and running when they clash in the second of Friday night's double header of Premier League action.

This promises to be an intriguing clash of two of the second tier Premier League teams. Before Spurs and United fans moan, you are both miles behind Liverpool and Man City!

Both sides have European aspirations, with the Europa League (Spurs) and Champions League (Man Utd), both real possibilities.

We have the prospect of Jose Mourinho up against his old side. And no matter what we think of the moaning git, he has stabilised Spurs since taking over from Mauricio Pochettino.

And he's also done it without his two main strikers, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, for large chunks of the campaign.

Then we have Manchester United, who just seemed to be hitting a run of form before the league was suspended. They also had exciting new signing, Bruno Fernandes, performing well.

With it being both sides first matches back, predictions can be a difficult call. There could be plenty of rustiness on both sides.

I expect this match to be close, and it could be one Jose in particular doesn't want to lose. United for their part, have an easier looking run of matches after this one, so also might be reluctant to go for it.

I don't like tipping draws, and/or under 2.5 goals, but on this occasion I do believe either outcome is a strong possibility.

In the Match Result and Over/Under 2.5 Goals market, Draw and Under 2.5 Goals is 3/1. This is the equivalent to betting on 0-0 or 1-1, so for this reason I'm going to recommend 2 small correct score bets.

Whether it turns out to be an exciting match is anybody's guess. But I do believe it will be interesting to see how the match plays out.

A tight contest is on the cards

The bookmakers have this one as a close call in the football betting, with United just edging favouritism. Spurs are currently 2/1 to win, the draw is 23/10, with United at 7/5.

Like with all the clubs in the Premier League, the suspension will help some, and hinder others. Spurs have Harry Kane back for the title run it, which is a bonus, as he was originally out for all but the rest of the season.

From United's perspective, they have got Paul Pogba back. Only time will tell if that turns out to be help or hindrance though.

Which Pogba will we get? Will it be the sulking version, or will we get a revitalised version of the Frenchman, excited at the prospect of playing alongside Bruno Fernandes?

One thing I think is for certain, is that Pogba will be right up for it tonight. I'm fairly sure he will be chomping at the bit to put one over on his old manager. While both at Old Trafford, the two men seemed to endure a very frosty relationship.
