Goals Galore In Bundesliga

There was a total of 12 goals in the Bundesliga from the two games alone on Sunday, as both Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach cut loose with goals galore!

Both Dortmund and Mönchengladbach did their bit earlier today, meaning it's now over to RB Leipzig to do their bit in the fight for Champions League places.

Raining Goals In Sunday's Two Bundesliga Fixtures

It was raining goals in the Bundesliga today. First up, Borussia Mönchengladbach beat Union Berlin 4-1 at Borussia-Park, taking themselves back above Bayer Leverkusen and into third place.

The result never really looked in doubt from the moment Marcus Thuram put Mönchengladbach 2 up just before halftime.

Even when Berlin pulled one back 5 minutes into the second half, you still sensed it wouldn't be long before normal service was resumed. So when Thurman added his second and the Monchengladbach third just 9 minutes later, it came as no huge surprise.

The game was effectively already over as a contest by the time Alassane Pléa added a fourth, 9 minutes from the final whistle.

So with that it was over to Borussia Dortmund. What transpired was the proverbial game of two halves.

A complete non event in the first half, followed by 7 goals in the second period. And included in the 6 scored by Dortmund, was a hat-trick for Jadon Sancho.

In the end bottom side Paderborn just wilted, and it was too easy for Dortmund.

The 6-1 victory for Dortmund ensures that no matter what Leipzig do tomorrow, they will go into Week 30's fixtures with a minimum buffer of 4 points over the 5th placed team.

Currently that team is Leipzig, but a win for Julian Nagelsmann's team at FC Köln on Monday night will see Leipzig jump two places, back into third position in the Bundesliga.
