Last Result: Swansea 2-2 Bournemouth
Another disappointing result for Swansea City on Saturday afternoon has seen Garry Monk’s sack race odds cut further, with the Swansea manager now a best price of 4/11 with Paddy Power to be the next manager to leave his post.
Since Swansea beat Manchester United at the end of August, they have won just once (away at Aston Villa on 24th October), with five defeats, and three draws.
Swansea are currently fourteenth in the Premier League (above Chelsea on goal difference), they are 3 points off twelve place, and 6 points off seventh place, and yet, there are stories that the board are considering Garry Monk’s position as manager.
It might seem harsh (it does to me), but then we are not party to what is going on behind the scenes. That said, we can only judge Swansea on what we see, and on Saturday they came back from 2-0 down to get a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. You have to imagine if Monk has lost the dressing room, that the team probably wouldn’t have fought back for a point.
