One of the most fierce rivalries in world football resumes in the early hours of Saturday morning (12am, UK time), when Argentina host Brazil in Buenos Aires in their 2018 World Cup qualifier – and if you’re a bet365 customer, you can get live screening of this match through your Sportsbook account.
Bet365 are streaming this match live to all their customers. There are some restrictions though, as the match isn’t available in the Americas, Middle East and North Africa. Apart from that, all you need (to watch) is a funded account, or to have had a bet within the last 24 hours.
In the match betting, bet365 currently make Argentina slight favourites at 6/4. The draw is 11/5, with Brazil at 15/8.
Remarkably, this will only be the seventh time that the two rivals have faced each other in World Cup qualifying. In previous years, the defending champions didn’t need to qualify for the next world cup, meaning with 7 world cup wins between the two, clashes in qualifying have been few and far between.
After two rounds of matches, neither of these two teams currently occupy any of the four qualifying places in the South American qualification section.
Brazil welcome back Neymar, who is returning after his four match ban, following his sending off in the Copa America earlier in this year. Neymar is currently the form player in club football, and with Messi currently out injured, Neymar has thrived and seems to have taken the extra responsibility (at Barcelona) in his stride, with a string of impressive performances of late.
Messi isn’t the only injury concern for the hosts. As well as missing the little maestro, Argentina are also without the services of Sergio Aguero and Carlos Teves. Brazil on the other hand have Neymar in form, and also have players like Willian and Douglas Costa currently flying for Chelsea and Bayern Munich, respectively.
All this points to a great opportunity for Brazil to inflict another blow on their rivals. Argentina are without a win so far in these qualifiers, and you would have to imagine they would happily take a draw from this match.
This match is more like a local Derby fixture though. And like with most local Derby fixtures, form can count for very little.
As well as Argentina V Brazil, there is also a whole host of International football over the next few days. If you are planning on having an acca bet, then check out our acca insurance page to get yourself the best acca deal.
