A week’s online football trading profit of £15.51

Total Pre Match Trading profits to date is £182.19. My football betting bank now stands at £282.19, I started off the experiment with a betting bank of £100.00 and use around 75% of my available bank on my trades, which are all done pre kick off using Betfair.

If proof were needed about what I eluded too in last week’s results, here it is, as week 33’s losses were wiped out in one week of football trading.

As I have mentioned before, this is a long term project, so there is no need to take stupid risks to try and recoup a loss (in a given week’s results)…. and this week just goes to show this.

Last week I didn’t chase the losses I incurred at the start of the week, and I was rewarded by winning them back – and more – this week.

It’s hard work trying to keep telling myself to be patient and just bide my time and the profits will come, but it’s something I have to keep on doing. I need to continually drum this message into myself, until it becomes my default setting.

I’ve believed for a long time now that trading or gambling is a mental thing, it’s how you react to a loss, etc. Or, can you stick to the script when you hit a bad run?

If you’ve a system that works, then why be reckless and chase? I just have to stick to this belief.

In order to trade in this manner you will need a betting exchange account. I use Betfair for reasons of liquidity. Betfair are now offering a £25.00 free matched bet to new customers, so it is a good time to open a Betfair account.
