A week’s online football trading loss of £9.55
Total Pre Match Trading profits to date is £166.68. My football betting bank now stands at £266.68, I started off the experiment with a betting bank of £100.00 and use around 75% of my available bank on my trades, which are all done pre kick off using Betfair.
The week got off to a bad start, and once I got behind I couldn’t really catch up. I pretty much got caught on the wrong side of two steamers in the two Champions league matches between Galatasaray and Real Madrid, and Dortmund v Malaga.
After that it was damage limitation. Thankfully, I didn’t really do anything stupid or reckless. I kept on reminding myself that it is a long term project, not a weekly one. I think this helped me not to do anything daft, like try and win it all back in one week’s worth of trades.
Having said that, the losses probably affected the way I traded the Bilbao V Real Madrid game on Sunday. If I wasn’t behind I would have traded out for a small green (that was available to me at one point), the fact that I was behind meant I went looking for a bigger win, and subsequently lost.
On the whole though, I’m happy that I didn’t let chasing the losses get out of hand. I know for a fact that in the past I have tried too hard to try and make sure I recorded a profit every week, and ended up making mistakes. That was stupid, as it is a long term project (as I have bored readers by stating on many occasions).
My apologies for the lateness of this blog post, I was already a week or so behind with this post when my PC packed up, leaving me without a PC for over a week. I managed to continue trading on my phone, but I was much more cautious.
I’m all up and running again now, so I will be updating all my recent results over the next few days.
