Pre Match Trading – Week 3 Results

A third successive week of profits with my pre match trading experiment. Only small modest profits, but I’m not bothered about the pace or amount of the wins, as the original plan was a long term one anyway.

I’ve starting to feel more comfortable using this method now and as a result I traded a lot more games this week.

Week 3, profit of £5.06

A cock up in the Reading V Tottenham game cost me over three quid. In some matches I had let the games kick off and traded out in the first couple of minutes when I got my desired green, but in this match I just traded out for a loss straight away as I didn’t trust Reading and thought they could well concede early.

This is the way I think I should be doing this anyway, as it is after all a pre match trading experiment. A goal early in proceedings would wreck my bank and my experiment, and I couldn’t be doing stupid things like that if I was using a one thousand pound betting bank.

Another thing I’m not sure about is whether or not to go back into a market after I have got a green out of it. Do I move onto the next game, or do I go back in and try and do the same again?

These are all issues I will have to try and iron out of the coming weeks. After all I am learning this process, and I suppose I should have known that issues will arise. Maybe when I am a lot more comfortable with proceedings, I may well top my betting bank up, but at the moment I am a long way away from being able to do that.

I have had to put a few more quid in my Betfair account now, as I intend to use this for matched betting. I have added a list of free bets down the left hand side of this website and will be constantly looking to update it with more and more free bets.

Along with pre match trading, these are the two methods I will be employing for the foreseeable future.
