A reasonable start to Pre Match Trading experiment

1st September Swansea v Sunderland – Won £1.75 using the Assured Soccer Profits system.

A total profit of £15.97 for the first 3 weeks of my experiment in Pre Match Trading, it’s not world beating, but it’s a reasonable start and it is 3 weeks continuous growth, which is probably some sort of betting record for me.

When I decided to trial this system I did so on the understanding that I would look for small weekly profits of about 5-10%, I also decided that it is to be a long term project.

With this in mind and the fact that I am still finding my feet and learning as I go along, I suppose I should be happy with £15.97 for the first 3 weeks, which is give or take 5% a profit a week.

I have also learnt that I do have a bit of an Achilles Heel with this system. On two or three occasions when I haven’t quite managed to close out my bets pre match, I have allowed the trade to run into the first 2-3 minutes in order to get the price down that one tick I need to get matched.

I have got away with it so far, but I know I can’t let it carry on as I will get stung one day doing it. I was watching the Seville V Real Madrid match on Saturday and seen a goal in the 2nd minute and it kind of reminded me just how risky a move it is to not be finished trading before the game kicks off.

On top of this I also used the Assured Soccer Profits system again and made a small profit of £1.75. I think I will use this system more regularly again but will select my games very carefully, as opposed to last season when I traded any game using the system.

I have also traded the Premier League relegation markets in running during Saturday afternoons and now have small greens on Swansea and Fulham going down. This is another market I am looking to get more familiar with. It is a slow moving market where I can back long prices with small stakes, so hopefully I won’t get caught out and end up having money unnecessarily tied up in it for long periods.

A few quid won betting on Cricket has also help boost the Betfair account, so all in all it has been a decent start to my latest relaunch. I aim to blog my results weekly online from here on, I am running my trading week from Monday to Sunday so in future I hope to post my results by Monday night at the latest.
